tattoo update

  • Mood:
my tattoo feels better but now its itching like hell and i don't know what to do about it!    i can't scratch it for fear of losing the color so i just bear it until i can go home and put some goop on it.  it seems to help a lot with the itch.  but when i'm at work i can't put anything on it because its covered up with my shirts and i don't want my shirts to get stained with the goop...it wouldn't look professional at all.    i'll be going back on the 12th for some re-touches but hopefully all looks good cuz later on that day i am attending a concert and i don't know how it would feel with the pain and being at the concert til early morning.  we'll see....

I finally got it!!!

  • Mood:
Sooooo, guess what I did this weekend?  It's something that I had been planning for the longest time and it finally happened!    I got a tattoo!  Yup!  I did too get a tattoo!  My first one by the way and it hurt like hell.   If I could discribe the pain I would compare it to the pain you get when you get a paper cut except this is non-stop.     For the past month I had been planning this, I had left my drawing at the tatt guys place and told him how I wanted him to modify it.  First of all, I chose a rosary for my tattoo and I wanted it to be different from the one I had found online.  Basically the same shape but I wanted a different cross on it.  My dad bought me this gold cross to put on my necklace a few years ago and I wanted that design put on it.  When I first found the design it started out about three inches tall (meaning, the size I wanted to be put on me) and the final design I put on my back is about eight inches tall, maybe a little taller.  I know!  It grew a lot and it only cost me $80.  I had been to one shop and they had told me that the three inch design, as is, was going to cost me atleast $80 so I was really surprised when the tatt guy told me the price.  I'm like hell yeah, put it on me in that size.  When he started I'm like 'is it over yet!?'  It was non-stop paper cut pain and chills up and down my body.  I put it on my back, on the left shoulder blade and I'm pretty pleased with it.  All weekend long, I kept staring at it in the mirror.    Needless to say, my parents weren't too happy with me permanently marking my body but it wasn't their decision to make.  My grandma was the coolest.    She said she liked it and when she heard my mom complaining about it again, she's like 'what's done is done.'  I LOVE HER!!!   She, being the matriarche of the family, is the most hip and coolest person.  I got a kick out of her positive reaction.    Yeah, even though I was in total pain during the tattooing process I still want to get one more.  I've got my design picked out, the location and everything else picked out.  I can't wait to see what my parents reaction is going to be when they see me with another one!
